How did you begin tutoring?
I began tutoring while still in high school after being referred by my principal due to my academic performance, strong work ethic, and ability to connect with students. What started as helping classmates and younger students quickly grew into a lifelong passion and more than 25 years of personalized tutoring and mentoring.

I work with learners of all ages, from early childhood through adulthood, including elementary school, middle school, high school, and college students.
Do you work with graduate school students and adults?
Yes. I work with graduate, post-baccalaureate, professional-track, and adult learners. Experience includes supporting students in nursing, public health, physician assistant, and other professional or pre-professional academic programs.

I provide support across a wide range of subjects, including English, math, science, history/social studies, Hebrew, Jewish studies, social sciences, business/economics, standardized test preparation, and academic enrichment.

Do you help students prepare for the California State Assessment (CAASPP)?
Yes. Support is available for CAASPP preparation, including strengthening reading comprehension, writing, math skills, test-taking strategies, confidence, and grade-level academic readiness.
Can you help students prepare for midterms and finals?
Yes. Support includes midterm and final exam preparation, study planning, review strategies, organization, confidence-building, and targeted support in challenging subject areas.
Can you help with essays, research papers, and presentations?
Yes. Support is available for essays, writing assignments, research papers, presentations, academic organization, and study strategies across middle school, high school, college, graduate, and professional-track programs.
Can you help students who struggle with organization, motivation, or confidence?
Yes. Support often includes study habits, executive functioning, time management, organization, confidence-building, accountability, and reducing academic stress.
Do you help with summer school or academic enrichment?
Yes. Support is available for summer school coursework, credit recovery, academic skill-building, enrichment, and preparation for the upcoming school year.
Do you help students taking online classes through Apex Learning or Method Schools?
Yes. Support is available for students enrolled in online, independent study, credit recovery, and flexible-learning programs.
Are you looking for a Hebrew teacher or Judaic studies tutor in Beverly Hills or Los Angeles?
Yes. For children and adults. Support is available for Hebrew reading, writing, speaking, siddur fluency, Parashat HaShavua (the weekly Torah portion), Jewish holidays, Intro to Judaism, Hebrew education, Hebrew school support, Bar/Bat Mitzvah preparation, Judaic studies, Jewish ethics, biblical literature, and other Jewish educational enrichment.
Do you work with learning differences or special needs students?
Yes. Tutoring is personalized to each student's unique learning style and educational needs, with individualized support for attention, executive functioning, organization, confidence-building, and academic growth.
Do you support students with accommodations or individualized learning plans?
Yes. Experience includes working with neurodiverse learners and students with ADHD, dyslexia, dysgraphia, autism spectrum differences, sensory processing differences, anxiety, OCD, and other learning needs, including students with academic accommodations and individualized support plans (including IEP/504-related accommodations), such as extended time, quiet testing environments, calculator support, and individualized learning plans.
Do you provide parent guidance and school communication support?
Yes. I work closely with families to provide parent guidance, academic support, school communication, and assistance with teacher email correspondence when needed. Support may also include reviewing school platforms such as Google Classroom, Blackbaud, and Aeries to help monitor assignments, identify missing work, track grades and deadlines, improve organization, increase accountability, and help students stay on track.
Do you help students navigate academic technology and AI tools responsibly?
Yes. Guidance may include responsible and age-appropriate use of AI-supported learning tools, including ChatGPT, to support studying, brainstorming, organization, concept review, and academic skill-building when appropriate, while emphasizing independent thinking, academic integrity, and genuine learning.
Do you help with writing, editing, and academic integrity tools?
Yes. Support may include essays, research papers, proofreading, grammar, organization, citations, presentations, and responsible use of academic tools such as Grammarly and Turnitin when appropriate.
Do you offer in-home tutoring?
Yes, throughout Beverly Hills and Los Angeles.
Do you offer online tutoring?
Yes, via Zoom.
Where do tutoring sessions take place?
Tutoring is available in-home throughout Beverly Hills and Los Angeles, online via Zoom, and in select quiet public study settings when preferred. Do you work with students outside of Los Angeles?
Yes. I work with students nationwide via Zoom, including families in New York, New Jersey, Florida, Connecticut, Virginia, Washington D.C., Illinois, and beyond.
How are tutoring sessions personalized?
Sessions are individualized based on each student's goals, coursework, learning style, strengths, challenges, pace, and academic needs.
Do you offer group sessions?
Group sessions may be available upon request depending on students' academic goals, subject area, and scheduling needs.
